This is cool. It lacks a CD player, which I don't mind, but would have been useful. I've had it for almost one month now, and I have used it for not more than 24 hours. But, from the first 2 hours it started to show problems. First, the players stopped responding randomly. That is, I have not noticed any pattern in them failing, they just do at random times. This can only be fixed by rebooting the unit. (can you imagine if this happens in the middle of a gig) Last night, the left cue button stopped working. I noticed some time later that it worked if you pressed really hard, but, hey, who wants to use something like that. Its not supposed to be like that, so I assumed it was a bad component. Then later I found out... Read more 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful This review is from: Cortex dMIX-600 DJ Mixer (Electronics) This thing is a piece of crap. I have owned it for 1 year and let me give you the timeline of its performance:On the first day that I used it, the flanger and reverb functions stopped working after one hour of use. I sent it in to get it repaired which took about two weeks time, not a problem. First day I get the unit back from repair, the search and browse functions break. Send the unit back and wait about a month this time. FIRST DAY AGAIN when it returned, the turntable on the right side broke... They finally shipped it back to me after more than a month. This product is absolute junk and is not worth even [...]. Go with something that actually works. This review is from: Cortex dMIX-600 DJ Mixer (Electronics) I agree with all the negativity about this unit. Mine crashes every time I use it after about half an hour. What's worse is that Cortex will not respond to any of my emails asking if there is a way of fixing it. They simply don't care about their customers or their products. Do not buy any Cortex products. If you work there, I advise you to leave because every day your customer service fails, the company is going that much closer to bankruptcy. |
